Fleebeeron

Description

Fleebeeron are small, delicate creatures. Their height ranges from 3"3 to 5"5,  with an average height around 4"5. To put it simply, Fleebeeron are plants. They are beautiful flowers. The buds of these flowers resemble an abstract face decorated only with two large eyes that blend into their skin like crystals. Their bodies are twisted vines acting as a stem for the flower atop their heads. These vines twist, turn, and fold down into one another to help strengthen the support of the body. They shape themselves how they please, with some preferring stationary lives rooted into the ground. Others change their forms to better appear like those around them. Their frames are covered in a thin skin-like membrane to keep the inside moist and protected.

Fleebeeron lack any skeletal structure, making them frail. They comprise basic plant fibers with a highly evolved neural system where the largest concentration of these nerves gather within the bud of the flower. Many fleebeeron possess an ability to spontaneously grow plant life around them, casting life into what would be lifeless.

The flowers atop their heads vary depending on perceived species. Some resemble tulips, hibiscus, dandelions, and otherworldly flowers. Males have pollen stems, while females lack them. While there are some things that cannot be changed dramatically, fleebeeron's forms portray their souls and personalities. Their bodies form the appearance of clothes. Most of these clothes are elegant in appearance, showing a gentle nature.

Fleebeeron photosynthesize, meaning they consume light and energy from stars through their skin. This is usually enough for healthy fleebeeron, but they may indulge themselves in drinks consumed through the skin.

Lacking a vocal box, fleebeeron cannot speak or make sounds. They communicate with one another by way of pheromones. Other creatures can detect these pheromones and give off their own. One unique species that can communicate with the fleebeeron are avian creatures such as birds. All fleebeeron keep pets of some kind that can both harness pheromones and have vocal boxes. These pets are used to detect what the fleebeeron are communicating through pheromones and translates them into spoken word so other species such as eldiravan and humans can understand.

Culture

Due to their frailty, fleebeeron have stuck to a life of pacifism and democracy.

Within the Intergalactic Alliance, the fleebeeron have been in charge of peaceful solutions and take use of democracy, usually having the final word in new species joining the Alliance.

Many fleebeeron are nomadic, living within fleets, or upon solo ships, to travel through the endless expanse of space. Others are more grounded, choosing to colonize. Even fewer maintain their ancestral roots and ground themselves for their entire life once they find a suitable location.

Fleebeeron are bleeding hearts. Easily trusting, and extremely loyal. They wish to help everyone and anything. Many go out of their way to show generosity and charity.

Fleebeeron speech does differ from human speech. They have no words for 'I' or 'me.' Since there is always two speaking technically, they refer to themselves as 'we'.

History

Fleebeeron are possibly the oldest intelligent species within the galaxy. With the oldest fleebeeron recorded at six thousand years, they dedicate much of their lives recording their history. They believe it is the duty of their souls to witness and record history as it happens.

As such, the fleebeeron maintain the oldest and largest library in the Milky Way Galaxy. Beautifully maintained, the Library is located upon their home world, Duilia, where it comprises the inside of The World Tree, the physical representation of the Great Tree of Life which is claimed to be the source of all life in the universe. The floors and content of the Library within the interior of the World Tree are accessible to all in the pursuit of knowledge. However, there are secretive underground levels spread out within the massive root system. Only specially chosen fleebeeron are allowed here under the belief of the knowledge within the roots of the World Tree must be well protected from the corrupt and evil of the galaxy.

One book is held highly from their Library. One with no title, but is said to be the legend of the beginning. The fleebeeron claim that they were there for it. Their pascificity was a result of the galaxy wide war. The legend mentions the fleebeeron nearly going extinct due to this war. They swore on their souls and the lives to come that they would never again participate in the heinous and violent acts of murder again. Their survival in the calamity to come may be due to their newfound stance. They continued to exist and grow in order to prepare for the next foretold battle to come.

Yet this cause would be forgotten as children were born, and grown. The lessons of their histories left to dust and ash.
